Prior to the "Final Solution," aryanization and other forms of spoliation and plundering were closely interlinked. In addition, the plundering undertaken by the Third Reich did not engulf uniquely the Jewish population -- it became a quasi-systematic policy in the East. If a certain number of publications treated this subject in the immediate postwar period, attention focused mostly on works of art and cultural property. Economic aryanization remained in the shadows for a long time before assuming a central place in studies published in the 1990s. This is the first internationally exhaustive bibliography on the topic. Part one includes general works. Part two focuses specifically on France. Finally, part three proceeds country by country.
