dc.description.abstractThe study objective is to test if there is difference in force values of 6 coated nickel-titanium wires and their non-coated equivalents . Nickel-titanium wires were procured “as is” from 6 commercial companies and tested using the 3-point bending test according to the ISO 15841 standard. Results showed that a statistically significant (p<0.05) mean differences were found in 5 out of the 6 companies. In conclusion we reject the null hypothesis that there is not statistically significant mean differences between the force levels of coated vs. non-coated nickel titanium wires.en_US
